Project Dashboard Hot End & Tool Head Assembly [KT-HE0004] and [KT-HE0005] V3 Hotend Kit Packaging Workflow

1 Gather materials

Note The instructions below are for [KT-HE0005]! For [KT-HE0004] do not include the zero sense wire in the kit.

2 Prepare hotend for packaging

Clip the thermistor wiring harness [AS-CB0040] into the clip on the hot end and attach the zero sense wire [AS-CB0060], making sure that the lock washer [HD-WA0035] is between the wire and the hot end, to the hot end.

Roll the wires up so that the tips of the pins are aligned to the bottom of the heater block and can lay flat against it.

Carefully place in the plastic bag [SH-PG0003], before closing the bag, tightly roll the E3D hotend in the bag. Make smooth out any air bubbles. Once it has been fully rolled up, make sure to clsoe the bag.

Attach the zero sense wire and thermistor as shown.

Becareful not to bend the pins around the hotend.

3 Assemble the box

Take your un-folded box [SH-BX0022] placing so that the fold creases are facing you and start by folding up the flaps on the left and right side of the box as shown.

Now take the bottom flap and fold it over the two side flaps we brought in towards the middle, as shown.

Now fold the top flaps and fold them over the bottom flaps, as shown.

4 Wrapping the hotend

Take the sheet of foam, [SH-PA0054] , and roll it up into into the foam, making sure to keep it tight.

Tightly roll up the hotend and fold the bubble wrap and both sides of the hot ends up to fit into the box, as shown.

5 Prepare for Final

Place a E3D Dual V3 Hotend Kit label on the top of the boxing facing forward along with [DC-LB0174] P65 Warning Label, as shown.
