Project Dashboard TAZ 3 X End Motor Assembly, TAZ KT-CP0028 Workflow

1 Gather the parts for the X end motor.

  • Components:

    • X motor mount
    • Double bearing holder with bearings
    • Motor -2
    • Motor pulley
    • M3 x 25 SHCS with thumb cap
    • Z adjustment spring (size/name)
    • M3 x 12 SHCS
    • M3 Washer

  • Tools:

    • 1.27mm Allen Driver
    • 2.5mm Allen Driver

1.27mm allen driver

2 Install the double bearing holder.

Assemble the double bearing holder onto the X motor mount with 4x M3 x 12 SHCS and washers.
Leave the bearing holder loose at this point.

Parts to assemble bearing holder.
Bearing holder assembled, take note of orientation.

3 Install the Z switch adjustment screw.

Install the Z switch adjustment screw, with spring and M3 Washer.

Note washer at bottom of spring

4 Install the motor and pulley.

Install pulley onto motor shaft, verify one set screw is aligned with the flat on the motor shaft.
Install motor onto X motor mount using 4x M3 x 12 SHCS and M3 washers.
Take note of the alignment of the motor wires.
